Professional Model With Down Syndrome ~ Tabia
Tabia Kocks is a young lady who was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and raised in Graham, Washington. She is a professional model with Down Syndrome who loves modeling. Like many young women, she had a dream of becoming a model.
The challenges for young women who want to become models are enormous. The challenges for young women with disabilities are multiplied.
Tabia’s Dream
Tabia’s dream to become a model has been achieved. Her new dream is to be in fashion magazines!
As a young girl, Tabia’s dream began while growing up in the state of Washington. She was given a photo shoot opportunity and was found to be a natural in front of the camera.
Tabia is also very active. She participates extensively in the Special Olympics. Previously, she competed in soccer and basketball. Now she is in cycling, golf, and bowling. Last year, she received 3rd place in the 25K cycling event, 2nd place in golf, and 2nd place in bowling in the Southwest Region.
Tabia also enjoys dance and therefore has been enrolled in a MixFit class at a local gym. She always has a positive attitude and is ready to learn new tasks. Her dedication to achieving her goals is something that continues to help her in life.
